1 star. May 8, 2016. The shopping area on Castro Street is fun. There are lots of little shops, with only a few chain stores. There are of course also bars and restaurants (some even good). This street is the center of the famous historic gay district and that caries on today. That said there are also lots of straight people and kids here.
